What would you do if something happened while you were diving?
The Rescue Diver Course answers this question: it allows you to help yourself, and also become a better dive buddy, by teaching you how to avoid getting into dangerous situations as well as how to respond when you, or anyone else, is in trouble.
You will learn about how accidents happen, how they may be prevented, and should they happen, how the consequences may be minimized.
Although the subject matter is serious, the course is fun and ejoyable: academic presentations are followed by practical training in Open Water.
12 training exercises will build your awareness and rescue skills, culminating in simulated emergencies where you will have an opportunity to apply what you have learned during the course.
Rescue Diver Candidates must also complete a basic CPR/First Aid class for certification. PADI’s Medic First Aid class meets this requirement, or candidates may complete equivalent courses from the Red Cross, American Heart Association or other training organizations.
