Personal Trainers



Stacy Trukowski, M.S., ACSM

Stacy an Associate Director of Recreation.  She is the Director of Rutgers Fitness, the fitness class program and the Werblin Fitness Center.  She has a M.S in Exercise Science from James Madison University and a B.S. in Sports Medicine.

Stacy is also an American College of Sports Medicine Health and fitness instructor, a studio cycling instructor, Willpower & Grace(TM) instructor, and IM=X Pilates instructor.  Stacy has over 15 years of experience in personal training, group exercise instruction and fitness management.

Anne Finetto, M.A.

Anne Finetto is a Fitness Coordinator for Rutgers Recreation, where she manages the Rutgers Tech Gym and Spa, Cook/Douglass Fitness Center and the FitCheck program.  She has a B.A. from Rutgers University and a M.A. in Applied Physiology from Columbia University.  She is a certified personal trainer and teaches many classes including Spinning, kickboxing, yoga, pilates, step, total body training, Bosu, and Willpower & GraceTM.

Anne grew up in New Jersey and has been instructing classes for more than 15 years.  She also enjoys running and competes in numerous local road races and triathlons.

Dave DiFabio, M.A., C.S.C.S., U.S.A.W.

Dave is a Rutgers alumnus who is currently the College Avenue Fitness Center, Power Gym, & Personal Training Coordinator.  He holds a B.S. and an M.A. in Exercise Science.  Dave is a recognized Certified Strength & Conditioning Specialist by the National Strength & Conditioning Association and a USAW Weightlifting Coach.  Dave teaches classes such as Spinning, Kickboxing, Boot Camp, Kombat Conditioning, and Muscle Conditioning.

For three and a half years, prior to joining the professional staff at Rutgers Recreational Services, Dave worked as a Health and Fitness Specialist at Sony Music's Corporate Fitness Center in Manhattan where he had the opportunity to train Alicia Keys.

Dave specializes is Functional Training, Sports Conditioning, and Injury Prevention.  He has worked with special populations, healthy adults, children, and athletes including members of the Scarlet Knights Varsity Men's Soccer Team.  Dave has published numerous articles & research in Men’s Fitness, Men’s Health, and the ACSM’s Medicine & Science in Sports & Exercise.

Samantha Coren Plum, M.A., ACE

Samantha is a Fitness Coordinator for Rutgers Recreation, where she manages the Rutgers Fitness Center and the Livingston Fitness Center.  She is a certified personal trainer and group exercise instructor with more than 13 years experience in the fitness industry, working with diverse populations.  Samantha's certifications include ACE Personal Training, Spinning, YogaFit, Primary Aerobics, Step, Pilates, and Willpower & GraceTM.

Samantha grew up in Massachusetts and received a B.A. in Sociology from Brown University and a M.A. in Sociology from Rutgers University.

Gil Bubay

A Rutgers College Graduate, Gil has an Advanced-Level Personal Training Certification from the National Academy of Sports Medicine.  He has sixteen years of personal training experience working in all phases and levels, to help clients reach a variety of goals.  Gil has been involved with weightlifting and sports conditioning for 24 years. Gil is also Olympic Weightlifting coach in the Power Gym.

Fred Jimenez

Fred is a Rutgers Alumnus.  He earned his B.S. in Exercise Science and Sports Studies from Cook College.  Fred is a U.S.A.W. Certified Club Level Weightlifting Coach.  He is a Health & Fitness Specialist at JFK Rehabilitation Institute where he works with Post-Rehab patients.  At Rutgers, Fred Works as a Personal Trainer, FitCheck Clinician, and Power Gym Coach.  He also trains many of the sports club teams. Fred's hobbies include reading, playing guitar/bass, running, and biking.

Pablo Ambrosio

Pablo graduated from Rutgers with a B.A. in Philosophy.  Pablo grew up in New Jersey playing soccer and participating in professional mixed martial arts fighting.  He is a trainer at the Rutgers Power Gym and an assistant coach of the Olympic Weight Lifting Team for New Jersey.

Pablo has been teaching classes and personal training for 4 years.  His favorite class to teach is Kombat Conditioning, but also instructs bootcamp, Ab Attack, weight training, sports conditioniong, and BOSU.  He is certified by NSCA.

Jhinoos Rajaei

Jhinoos is a Rutgers University graduate.  She holds a B.S. in Exercise Science and Sports Studies along with a minor in Nutritional Sciences.  She held a position as student trainer to the Rutgers football team for two years.  Jhinoos is American Council on Exercise Certified Personal Trainer.  She is also a U.S.A. Weightlifting Sports Performance Coach.  Currently, Jhinoos is a Power Gym Trainer who supervises open recreation hours and trains numerous Rutgers Sports Clubs.  Jhinoos enjoys playing soccer and weight training.  Her specialties include sports specific movements and explosive power lifts.  Jhinoos plans on continuing her education in the field of Physical Therapy and Athletic Training.

Georgie Fear

Georgie is a Cook College graduate, and currently a Nutritional Sciences Ph.D. candidate at Rutgers.  She is a AAAI Certified Personal Trainer and a Registered Dietitian.  Her areas of expertise include functional training and weight loss programs.  Outside of the gym, she loves rock climbing, road biking, and running.

Louis Awad

Lou is a Rutgers University graduate with a B.S. in Exercise Science and Sports Studies and a minor in Psychology. He is an American Council on Exercise Certified Personal Trainer as well as a USA Weightlifting Sports Performance Coach.  Lou is a traveling fitness and wellness speaker and consultant for various fraternal and leadership groups.

Currently, Lou is the Assistant Fitness Coordinator at the College Avenue Gym assisting with the personal training program, coaching various club sports teams, working in the boxing gym, and running special events such as RU Game and the Bench Press Competition.  Lou has worked in the physical therapy, medical, and pharmaceutical industries, and has developed an extensive knowledge of medical terminology and treatment modalities.  Lou is currently in the process of completing a Post-Baccalaureate program at Rutgers University in preparation for medical school.
 
Aside from his professional and volunteer accomplishments, Lou holds one thing above all else, his friends and family; nothing comes before his parents, brothers, and Christina.

Traci Jessop

Traci graduated from Rutgers, Cook College where she earned a B.S. in Exercise Science and Sports Studies with a minor in Nutrition.  She is an AFFA Certified Personal Trainer and a USA Weightlifting Sports Performance Coach.  Traci works as a Personal Trainer and Power Gym Coach at Rutgers, and as a lifeguard at Belmar Beach.  She plans on going to Physical Therapy school next year.  During her free time, Traci enjoys running, biking, kayaking, and other outdoor activities.

Jessie Hanna

Jessie graduated from Rutgers University with a B.S. in Exercise Science and Sports Studies and a minor in Middle Eastern Studies. He is a current graduate student and holds multiple credentials from the American Council on Exercise. He has worked in a variety of clinical settings including Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center to Robert Wood Johnson Fitness Center.  Furthermore, his time spent working in the preventive medicine department of United HealthCare has given him extensive experience with improving clinical outcomes through health education and behavior modification. Jessie has doing private fitness and performance consulting for years.  It is important to Jessie that his clients not only improve their fitness, but gain knowledge and a deeper understanding of how their body works.  Jessie has also founded and currently directs a charitable foundation that aids in the fight against pediatric cancers.

Ben Procida

Ben is an Exercise Science and Sport Studies major and a Psychology minor who will be graduating in December 2009. He is an AAAI Certified Personal Trainer. Ben has worked at a number of commercial fitness centers, most recently as a Personal Trainer at L.A. Fitness. Ben also works as a Health and Fitness Specialist for MediFit Corporate services. After completing his degree he hopes to continue his education in Athletic Training. He grew up in New Jersey and loves all sports and outdoor activities like hiking and biking.

Erica Smith

Erica graduated from Indiana University with a B.S. in Exercise Science with a minor in Psychology. She is currently working on her Masters in Human Nutrition at the University of Bridgeport. She is an American College of Sports Medicine Certified Health & Fitness Specialist. Erica has had a passion for exercise since she was a child.  In college she learned of its potential to impact people's lives in amazing ways. Erica takes special interests in the influence of exercise and nutrition in the fields of eating disorders and oncology. Her dream is to work in the integrative medicine field, but right now Erica is enjoying the experience and knowledge she is gaining by working as a personal trainer.  She is also an experienced tennis coach. In her free time Erica loves hiking, playing tennis, doing anything athletic outside, taking pictures, spending time with family and friends, and working with youth and children through various volunteer opportunities.

Jennifer McKenna

Jennifer graduated from Cook College with a B.S. in Exercise Science and a minor in Nutrition. She is a National Strength and Conditioning Association Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist. Additionally, she has worked in the Human Performance Laboratory at Rutgers on several different research studies. In May 2010 she will begin graduate school to earn a Doctorate in Physical Therapy. Jennifer’s hobbies include running, hiking, reading and cooking.

Mike Klejmont

Mike is a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (NSCA) and a Certified Sports Performance Coach (USAW). He is currently a Physical Therapy Doctoral Student at the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey in Newark.  Mike is also a Personal Trainer and Power Gym Instructor at Rutgers. Mike is an alumnus of Rutgers College, where he graduated with honors in Exercise Science and Sports Studies. He has completed internships at various physical therapy locations and recently completed an internship as a sports performance coach at Velocity Sports Performance.  In his free time Mike enjoys exercising, traveling, and collecting live music recordings.
