Equipment Rentals

The Rutgers Base Camp maintains a growing inventory of high quality, outdoor recreation equipment that can be rented!

Requirements for gear rental:

• Forms must be filled out at least 48 hours in advance of the date requested, by the individual intending to borrow the equipment.
• Equipment must be picked up and returned to Base Camp located at the Livingston Recreation Center.
• A current Rutgers University student or staff card and a valid driver’s license must be presented at the time equipment is checked out.
• Rental payment must be received before equipment is checked out.
• A $20.00 deposit must be left to reserve and rent equipment. It will be returned in full if equipment is returned on time and in good condition.
• If equipment is missing, broken, or excessively dirty, the renter is responsible for replacement, and may be charged a fee for the washing, or repair of equipment.
• Equipment rented for the weekend must be returned by 6 p.m. Monday. Equipment rented for 1 day must be turned in at 6 pm the following day. The renter will be charged the daily rate for each day that the equipment is late.
