Exercise advice:  Schedule your workouts into your weekly schedule so you think of  them as an appointment you can't miss.  Find a friend to do the workouts with and make it a social activity as well.  It is much more fun to talk to someone while you workout then doing it  by yourself and counting the minutes!!  Also try to be creative with your workouts.  Changing up your workouts makes the time go by so much quicker.

Typical weekly workout:
Cardiovascular exercise 5-6X per week with most of the cardio in  the form of running, Alternate the type of cardio workouts to include long runs, interval runs, speed runs and recovery in preparation for 1/2 marathon, full body funtional workouts 3x per week, Willpower & Grace 1X per week.

Some things I have done/do:
I love to participate in local running/triathlon races and have run a 1/2 marathon and done some sprint  triathlons.  I am an outside person and spend as much time outside either at the beach, running, hiking, boating or any activity that keeps me in the great outdoors. I have begun coaching youth sports to get kids active. I have been the race coordinator for local running races.  I love to cook and entertain.   My spare time is spent with my children and getting them active!!

Workout goal:
I still want to lose a few pounds of extra pregnancy weight and get back to the body I had before kids.  I am also working hard on improving my running times and want to finish  a 5K in under 23 minutes.  I exercise to feel better. If I go a couple of days without exercise I get lethargic so I always try to fit something in so I feel good!!

Pet Peeves in the Gym:
I get frustrated seeing people coming into the gym and just going through the motions and not working out hard. If you are going to find the time to exercise, make it worthwhile and that means you need to sweat.  You can't expect to lose weight or get in better shape with minimal effort.  Stop finding excuses not to work out and just do it.

What I am looking for in the "Top Trainer" workouts:
I am looking for workouts that are functional, well balanced, efficient and creative.  I want to see workouts that are reasonable for regular people to fit into their schedules yet have a funky twist to them. The workouts should stand out but should not take away from the integrity of the exercises.
